Collector's Checklists
TEX BENEKE 78s
by Music Librarian Christopher Popa

For the RCA Victor issues, the earliest catalog numbers were labeled as by “The Glenn Miller Orchestra with Tex Beneke” or “Tex Beneke with The Glenn Miller Orchestra,” or “Tex Beneke and The Glenn Miller Orchestra.”  In 1947, the band’s billing changed to “Tex Beneke and His Orchestra” and then in 1950 to “Tex Beneke and His Music in the Miller Mood.”
The MGM and Coral discs were, simply, “Tex Beneke and His Orchestra.”
