CHICO MARX 33s
by Music Librarian Christopher Popa
Various LP titles by The Marx Brothers, such as “The Original Voice Tracks From Their Greatest Movies” (Decca DL 79168e, et al) or other comedy, movie soundtrack, or radio show issues, such as “When Radio Was King!: Groucho Marx: You Bet Your Life 1930’s & 1940’s / Hollywood Agents with Chico Marx (Memorabilia MLP-733) – the latter I believe includes the Raymond Paige Orchestra - clearly do not fall within the scope of this listing, which seeks to identify 33s by Chico Marx and His Orchestra.
Since the closest to that seems to be a 4-LP set from 1974, “Three Hours… Fifty-Nine Minutes… Fifty-One Seconds… With The Marx Brothers,” which contains five selections featuring either Chico on piano or his own orchestra (Abraham, Second Movement From The Beer Barrel Polka, Pagliacci, Noodlin’ Around, and The Start of The Marx Brothers), I will list it.
